Heritage Volunteer Organisers Scotland (HVOS) is an informal, free network open to anyone with an interest in volunteer management in the Heritage Sector in Scotland, regardless of their role or whether they are paid or unpaid.
It aims to support, represent and champion the role of volunteer managers in the sector by:
- Providing a forum for peer support
- Encouraging and sharing good practice
- Raising the profile of volunteer managers and organisers
- Encouraging diversity
The network was formed in 2004 and since then has organised training events and conferences, commissioned resources, and provided expertise in a variety of ways. The network meets quarterly in a host venue of a current member. Anyone interested in joining can contact one of the members of the group or email us.
